There are 10 weekly challenges in Halo Infinite with the release of the Winter Update in November, 2022. But this hasn’t always been like this – prior to this current season, Halo Infinite players had to complete 20 weekly challenges instead.

Halo Infinite Weekly Challenges Season 1 and 2 (2022)
Seasons 1 and 2 of the game had 20 weekly challenges each week. Some of the challenges consisted of getting Killing Spree Medals, killing other players with certain weapons (BR, Sniper, Commando, Needler, and more), consistently completing certain game modes (such as Fiesta, Big Team Battle, etc.), and more.
After the player completed these 20 challenges, they had to fulfill the Ultimate Challenge as well to get the final reward. This Ultimate Challenge was more difficult than normal challenges, and the mission outlined to get it was not as straightforward to complete as some players believed.
Halo Infinite Weekly Challenges Season 3 (2023)
Now, challenges have changed in Halo Infinite Season 3. Although Season 3 has not officially started yet, the Winter Update tells us exactly how the challenges work now.
Now there are only 10 weekly challenges, and they are way easier to complete because they can be achieved on any playlist. On top of that, there’s a sweet daily challenge that is updated every single day of the week.
The Ultimate Challenges remain untouched, and the rewards are as great as they have ever been.
When Do the Weekly Challenges Reset in Halo Infinite?
Weekly challenges on Halo Infinite reset every Tuesday at 10 AM, Pacific Time. This means that you have a full week, from Tuesday to Tuesday, if you want to complete each one of the challenges that appear.
After the day and time mentioned above arrive, you will not be able to stack the challenges you have completed towards the new challenges, so keep this in mind!
How Do Challenge Swaps Work in Halo Infinite?
Challenge Swaps are quite simple: they are a reward type that allows you to change one challenge for another. In order to use them, this is what you have to do:
- Open Halo Infinite and go to the Multiplayer section.
- On Xbox, press the Y button to open the Challenges Tab.
- Here, look for the challenge you don’t like, and press A.
- Then, select Swap Challenge, and the challenge will swap for a new one.
This was especially useful in seasons 1 and 2 when you didn’t want to, for instance, “kill 5 enemies with the Needler;” but now, since challenges are more general, you might hardly use this feature, although it depends on you.
