Can I Get Unbanned From Fortnite or Not!?
Yes, you can get unbanned from Fortnite, provided that you have not been permanently banned by Epic Games.
Let me elaborate: if you log into your Fortnite account, and you see a message that says that you are permanently banned from the game, then it’s really hard to overcome this punishment.
However, if you have been temporarily banned by Epic Games, or if you have been banned without doing anything, then getting unbanned from Fortnite is totally possible.
I know how hard it is to see that you created your Fortnite account in, let’s say, 2017, and you are banned now, so let’s work hard to fix this!
How Do You Appeal a Fortnite Ban?
To appeal a Fortnite ban, you need to send an email to Epic Games where you explain to them why you should be unbanned on Fortnite.
During your appeal, you must be concise and clear. Otherwise, your request will not be taken into account by Epic Games.
Either way, there are three types of Fortnite bans that you can appeal to:
- Temporary bans: If you are temporarily banned on Fortnite, then submitting an appeal is easier and might have more effect than other types of ban.
- False positive bans: Some players get banned on Fortnite without doing anything! As strange as this might sound, it is a common thing in the game.
- Permanent bans: Submitting an appeal for a permanent ban is really, really difficult. Most times, Epic Games will not take your appeal into account, unless you make really strong arguments.
Keep in mind that you can only get permabanned on Fortnite if you break the Code of Conduct several times, or if you do something punishable, such as cheating or telling racial or discriminatory insults to other players.

Step 1: Log Into Your Epic Games Account and Go to Help
Go to Epic Game’s website, and log into the account you use to play Fortnite. After logging into your account, go to Help, and continue with the next step.
Step 2: Under “Can’t Find What You’re Looking For?” Select “Contact Us”
You will be redirected to a site with common questions and answers about Fortnite bans.
However, you must select “Can’t Find What You Are Looking For” and under it, click on “Contact Us.”
This is the official Epic Games Contact Link in case you can’t find it.
Step 3: Select “Gaming Platform” and “Describe Your Problem”
Epic will ask you for the gaming platform you use – Android, PS4, PS5, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC, etc.
Select your preferred platform, and go to “Describe Your Problem” after doing so.
Step 4: Use This Fortnite Ban Appeal Template
Here, we are going to submit the ban appeal. The following Fortnite Ban Appeal Example Template works to recognize your mistakes so Epic Games can consider unbanning you.
This is the template:
“Dear Epic Games Support Team,
I am writing to request that my Fortnite account be unbanned. I recently received a ban for breaking the game’s rules, and I fully acknowledge my mistake.
I understand that Epic Games takes cheating and other forms of inappropriate behavior very seriously, and I regret my actions. I apologize for any inconvenience or disruption that my behavior may have caused to other players and the Fortnite community.
I love playing Fortnite and I miss it dearly. I have learned my lesson and I assure you that I will follow the game’s rules and regulations from now on. Therefore, I would like to request that my account be unbanned so that I can start playing again and prove that I am a reformed player.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope that you will give me a second chance to be a positive member of the Fortnite community.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]”
Remember that you can modify this template as much as you want to match your personal case – it’s a good starting point if you don’t know how to start writing a ban appeal for Fortnite.
Step 5: Click “Submit an Email Request” and Wait for an Answer
Finally, after pasting and modifying the template to match your personal scenario, go to the Submit button, and click on it.
The Epic Games Support Team will receive and review your message. Normally, they take between 48 and 72 hours to reply back.
Wait patiently – in the meantime, you can read our Fortnite Not Updating article to learn more about this game.
How to Get Unbanned From Fortnite if You Got Banned For No Reason
Believe it or not, many players get banned from Fortnite even if they have done nothing wrong in the game.
This is called a false positive, and this is how you get unbanned from Fortnite if you got banned for absolutely no reason.
Step 1: Log Into Your Epic Games Account and Contact Support
Log into your Epic Games account, and go to the Contact Support Page – you can find the link in the aforementioned steps.
Step 2: Use This Fortnite Banned for No Reason Appeal Template
Select the platform you use, and right on the “Describe your problem” box, type in the following template:
“Dear Epic Games Support Team,
My Fortnite account has been banned, but I have not violated any of the game’s rules and regulations. I believe that this ban is unfair, and I would like to request that it be lifted as soon as possible.
I am very passionate about playing Fortnite, and I have invested a lot of time and effort into building my account. I assure you that I have not engaged in any inappropriate behavior or cheating. Therefore, I would appreciate it if you could investigate my case and provide me with more information about the reason for my ban.
I hope that you will find no evidence of any wrongdoing on my part, and I would be grateful if you could unban my account so that I can continue playing Fortnite with my friends.
Thank you for your time and attention, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Sincerely,
[Your Name]”
Remember to modify the template as much as you can if needed.
Step 3: Submit the Appeal and Wait 48 Hours
After modifying the template, just click on Submit, and wait to get unbanned.
There are many cheaters on Fortnite, so sometimes Epic Games bans players even if they haven’t done anything wrong.
By submitting an appeal, the Support Team will review your case and promptly unban you on Fortnite.
I Didn’t Get Unbanned from Fortnite, Now What?
If you submitted a ban appeal, but you still didn’t get unbanned from the game, then you have two options: wait a little bit longer, or do the following:
1. You can still play other Epic Video Games: Even if you got banned on Fortnite, you can still play other video games by Epic Games, such as the always-fun Fall Guys.
2. You can play Fortnite from another PSN, Xbox, or Epic Games Account: if you want, it’s possible to play Fortnite from a different PNS, Xbox, Nintendo or Epic Games Account. However, if you break the rules and get banned again, you might get IP Banned on Fortnite.
3. Most permanent Fortnite bans are forever: Sometimes, it doesn’t matter what you do – if you break the rules in an unforgivable way, Epic Games will not unban you. There’s absolutely nothing you can do here.
