Is FIFA 2023 Region Locked?
Not exactly – you can change your region in FIFA 23, and the game can be played in different countries regardless of where you bought it.
This means that, as a general rule, FIFA games are not region-locked whatsoever.
How to Change FIFA 23 Region: 3 Steps
In order to change your FIFA 23 region, you will need to follow three quick steps.
This will change your location settings on your EA account, and you might be able to change your language settings as well if you want it.
Before we start, it is important to note that you cannot change your FIFA 23 region inside the game – instead, we need to go to the EA website.
Step 1: Go to EA.com and Sign Into Your Account
If you launch FIFA 23 and go to Settings and Customisation, you will be able to spot your EA account information on the following screen:
However, as soon as you select your account, you will be prompted to go to EA’s website on a web browser.
So, save yourself the hassle and go to EA – My Account to sign in using your credentials.
Step 2: Go to “Regional Settings” and Select “Edit”
After signing into your account, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and look for Regional Settings.
There, you will see a small button that says “Edit” – click or tap on it.
Step 3: Set the New Country or Region of Your EA Account

Can You Play FIFA 23 if You Change Location?

This means that you need to change the location and then restart FIFA 23 in order for the changes to apply.

I Can’t Change Region in FIFA 23: How to Fix It
If you are unable to change your region in FIFA 23, this might be due to any of the three following reasons:
1. You Are Trying to Change the Region Inside the Game: your FIFA 23 region cannot be changed inside the game – you need to log into your EA account from a web browser in order to successfully change your location.
2. You Are Using the Wrong EA Account: make sure to log into the correct EA account before you attempt to change your FIFA 23 region.
3. Your Billing Information is Outdated: if, for instance, you have an American Credit Card linked to your EA account, and you change your region to Spain, then you would need to update your billing information before being able to entirely change your region.
