1. Timing is Everything
When using the JOKR, you are vulnerable to enemy attacks – the weapon locks onto a target, and if someone sees you, then it’s game over for you.
Take cover or find elevated spots that provide a clear line of sight to your intended target. Look for opportunities when enemies are distracted or when vehicles are stationary to maximize your chances of success.
2. Communicate with Your Teammates

How to Unlock Camo Challenge JOKR in MW2
The first thing that you will unlock when using the JOKR is the Azure Fray Camo.
The Azure Fray camo for the JOKR can be unlocked simply by getting 40 kills with this weapon.
In theory, this sounds easy – however, even some avid MW2 Players on Reddit say that the easiest challenge related to the JOKR is harder than it looks.
The best way to unlock the first camo challenge with the JOKR is to simply use the weapon as much as you can. After unlocking the Azure Fray Camo, you can move on to the challenges.
How to Level Up the JOKR Modern Warfare 2 in 2023

To do this, we must understand what are the requirements to do so. Keep on reading to learn how to level up the JOKR in Modern Warfare 2 by completing mastery challenges.
1. How to Unlock JOKR Gold Skin (2 Kills Without Dying 5 Times)
The first unlockable camo option is the gold skin for the JOKR, which looks amazing. To do so, you need to kill 2 enemies without dying 5 times.
This means that you need to kill two enemies five times using the launcher without being killed – do not confuse it with double kills, which refer to killing two enemies in a short span of time between kills.
These tips will help you level up the JOKR to get the gold camo:
- Melee with the JOKR. As you probably know, firing up the JOKR is not as effective against standard enemies. Approach them from the back and punch them while holding the weapon instead.
- Do not swap the JOKR after shooting a vehicle. Sometimes, if you shoot a vehicle, but it fails to explode right away, the kill might take some time to register. So, never swap your JOKR if you are trying to unlock this challenge.
- Use decoy grenades to attract enemies. Using decoy grenades is a great way to attract not one, but two enemies to the same spot. Shoot them with a JOKR missile, and you’ll be good to go.
2. How to Unlock JOKR Platinum Skin (Destroy 10 Enemy Vehicles)
The platinum camo for the JOKR is also kind of hard to get, but in my experience, it was easier to get it than the gold skin. These are our three tips to level up the JOKR to platinum camo:
- Avoid shooting VTOLS. VTOLS divert the first rocket shot with the JOKR, which will make you lose some precious ammo and time.
- Hit UAVs. The JOKR is the worst enemy of UAVs, so use this to your advantage.
- Play Ground War. Ground War is a Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 Game Mode where everybody uses vehicles – play Ground War for as long as you can possibly do it, and we assure you that you will destroy more than 10 enemy vehicles quickly.
3. How to Unlock JOKR Polyatomic Skin (15 Double-Kills)
The polyatomic skin for the JOKR is extremely hard to get, but we are up for the challenge.
To level up the JOKR to polyatomic camo, you must perform 15 double kills. A double kill in Modern Warfare 2 happens when you kill two enemies within precisely three seconds of one another.
Double kills are really hard to get with the JOKR, but these three tips will help you out:
- Sit next to your HQ by the ammo supply while playing Ground War. We know that this might count as “camping,” but if you really want to get that sweet polyatomic weapon, wait for enemies to approach you so you never run out of ammo.
- Infiltrate the enemy HQ and melee enemies. To successfully kill enemies by meleeing with the JOKR, you must lower their health. This is really hard to achieve, but if you infiltrate their base and wait for two enemies to be close to each other, then getting double kills will be easier.
- Aim at vehicles with more than one passenger in Ground War. Some vehicles carry two or even three enemies inside. Try to use the JOKR to shoot these vehicles instead of UAVs or flying vehicles.
4. How to Unlock JOKR Orion Camo (Complete 51 Polyatomic Challenges)
Unlocking the Orion Camo for the JOKR is the ultimate challenge. If you manage to level up the JOKR to Orion level, then you can be considered a Modern Warfare 2 pro.
According to YouTuber TechnicallyWild, who managed to complete this outstanding milestone, you need to get 1,000 kills with the JOKR to unlock Orion Camo.
It’s not impossible – many players have done so. However, it will take you hundreds of hours, even months.
The best way to level up the JOKR to the max is to use it whenever you can – there are no other tips that work. Just using the same launcher over and over again (and following the tips in this guide) will help you to achieve the maximum level of the JOKR.
