Can I Really Avoid Zombies in Minecraft?
Yes, you can avoid zombies in Minecraft. I usually disable them with my sword, but when there are too many zombies around my buildings, I start to get stressed out.
So, I understand why some Minecraft players would want to deactivate zombies. I must accept that sometimes when zombies bug (such as when Zombies are not attracting villagers), I love them a little bit more than before, but that’s not enough to bear with them.
How Can I You Play Minecraft Without Zombies?
There is no built-in option to completely remove zombies from Minecraft. Nevertheless, there are different ways to minimize the frequency of zombies appearing during your playtime.
These are the three ways you have at hand to play Minecraft without zombies:
1. Enable Peaceful Mode: Peaceful Mode is an option that allows you to play Minecraft without dangerous mobs, such as Creepers and zombies. You may enable Peaceful Mode and forget about the dangers that haunt you.
2. Change the game difficulty: There are other difficult settings on Minecraft rather than Normal or Difficult, and setting up low difficulty is one of the best ways to deal with Minecraft zombies.
3. Use Mods: You can also use mods to remove or reduce the frequency of zombies in Minecraft. There are several mods available online that allow you to customize the game to your liking.
3 Ways to Play Minecraft Without Zombies
I know that zombies are an integral part of Minecraft – completely removing zombies might impact the overall experience of the game.
But we are tired of those little brain eaters, so we need to get rid of them. Also, keep in mind that making Minecraft always day will not work because zombies can survive when it’s raining. Follow these methods to learn how to play Minecraft without zombies.
Method 1: Change Minecraft Difficulty
The first thing that we are going to do is to change the difficulty of Minecraft. We are going to lower the difficulty settings from Normal or Hard to Easy.
I know, I know – this will impact the way you move around the world, but it will also make zombies really, really easy to kill. This is how you change Minecraft difficulty:
- Launch Minecraft on your gaming device, and load a world.
- Press the Escape key on your keyboard to bring up the game menu. You can also press the menu button on your console (PS4, PS5, Xbox, Nintendo, etc.).
- Click on “Options” in the menu.
- Click or select “Difficulty” in the options menu.
- Choose the desired difficulty level – in this case, change the difficulty to “Easy.”
Although this will not completely remove zombies, it will make them harmless. They will be unable to annoy you, and killing them will be as easy as just attacking them with anything you have at hand.
Method 2: Turn On “Peaceful Mode” or “Creative Mode”
Peaceful Mode is the easiest mode in all of Minecraft. In fact, some Minecraft users believe that Peaceful Mode should be a little more difficult.
By enabling Peaceful mode, you prevent zombies from spawning on your world. This is how you enable Peaceful Mode on Minecraft:
- Open Minecraft, go to a World, and go to the Menu.
- Look for Options, and select Difficulty.
- Change the difficulty to Peaceful and save the changes.
- From now on, zombies will not even dare to spawn during your Minecraft playthrough – say goodbye to them!
Another option is to enable Creative Mode. Zombies will not even look at you while Creative Mode is enabled, but this mode is meant to be used to build things, not to play the game. To enable Creative Mode in Minecraft, do the following:
- Go to a Minecraft World, press Menu, and go to Options.
- Select “Game,” and change “Default Game Mode” to “Creative.”
- Close the Menu, and zombies will not even look at you anymore – it’s like you don’t exist!
Method 3: Use Minecraft Mods to Play Without Zombies
The last option consists of using mods to play without zombies on Minecraft. This is my least favorite method, but there are some mods that can help you get rid only of zombies instead of all mods.
For instance, the Bad Mobs Minecraft Mod allows you to turn off the spawning of Zombies, and other dangerous mobs will continue appearing.
Of course, you need to play a modified version of Minecraft in order to install mods.
Gaming Summary: Playing Minecraft Without Zombies
You can totally enjoy Minecraft without dealing with zombies. Simply switch to Peaceful Mode, set the difficulty to Easy, or use a Minecraft Mod to bid those zombies farewell.
Here’s my personal tip: make yourself some sturdy diamond armor, grab a good sword, switch to Easy mode, and take out zombies with a single hit! For more awesome Minecraft tips, check out our guides at Gaming Power Up. Happy gaming!
